¶On Sharing Entire PDFs or Transcripts
There are several reasons we ask that full transcripts, PDFs, and books not be copied or hosted on other websites, included in works outside our own, or collected through automated means such as scraping, crawling, or systematic downloading. These include:
-
Stewardship of the material. At our own effort and expense—an investment we are honored to make—this material is written, produced, or channeled and then offered freely for individual study. While L/L Research considers open access a core part of its mission, the authors and instruments retain the responsibility to serve as the sole source of complete PDFs, transcripts, and books. This helps protect the integrity, accuracy, and long term usefulness of the material for present and future seekers.
-
Ensuring access to the most accurate versions. From time to time, we make corrections or updates to the original files on our website. When full copies are hosted elsewhere, readers may encounter outdated or incomplete versions. Linking directly to our site ensures that seekers always receive the most current and reliable form of the material.
-
Supporting context and discovery. Direct links to the original transcripts or books allow readers to explore the material in its proper context, discover the broader library of Confederation information, and learn more about the small organization that stewards this work.
This applies whether the collection is done manually or through automated tools and processes, including those used for building datasets. For AI-specific guidelines, please see below.
¶Using Our Material in AI Technologies
The rapid development of artificial intelligence raises complex questions about intellectual property and how copyright law applies to the training and development of AI systems, including large language models. At present, there is no clear guidance within the U.S. copyright framework regarding these uses. As the landscape continues to evolve, our policy on how our material is utilized by various AI technologies may change accordingly.
Use of our material in AI systems may take various forms, each carrying different requirements. This includes:
- Individual seekers who reference excerpts of L/L Research material in personal conversations with AI tools. This needs no special permission.
- Pre-training of general-purpose large language models.
- Building tools that directly store or retrieve our content requires written permission from L/L Research.
Regarding the third point: the direct storage, indexing, or retrieval of L/L Research content—whether in vector databases, embedding stores, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines, or similar retrieval infrastructure—constitutes reproduction of the material and requires written permission from L/L Research.
This applies to the full corpus as well as to excerpts of it, regardless of whether the tool is open-source, proprietary, or locally hosted. We ask that you contact us before building a tool or system that stores or retrieves our material in this way.
If you wish to use our material for the creation or tuning of any kind of AI technology or tool, we ask that you honor the following requirements:
-
Positive orientation. The tool or project must be positively oriented and carry no intent to manipulate, deceive, or exploit. This material must not be incorporated into tools or platforms that promote fear, division, or the distortion of spiritual seeking.
-
No misrepresentation. The tool must not misrepresent L/L Research, its authors, or the nature of the material.
-
No imitation of channeled voices. Any user-oriented text generation or chat function must not attempt to mimic the contact or reproduce Ra’s speech or style, or that of other channels in our material. Its purpose should be to provide information about the material, not to imitate the source.
-
No fabrication of new sessions or teachings. The tool must not generate new or fictionalized transcripts, sessions, or teachings attributed to L/L Research or the Confederation of Planets in the Service of the Infinite Creator.
-
No presentation of AI output as channeled material. The tool must not present its output as channeled material, nor imply that it is communicating with or representing Confederation sources.
-
No distortion of meaning. The tool must not alter or selectively quote the material in a way that misrepresents its intended meaning while presenting it as original text from L/L Research.
-
No implication of official status. The tool must not be presented as an official or authorized product of L/L Research unless explicit written authorization has been granted.
-
No monetization. Because we offer our material freely, no direct or indirect commercial benefit may be derived from its use in an AI tool – including fees, advertising revenue, data collection, or paywalled access to features that depend on L/L Research content.
-
Proper attribution must be provided. The page associated with the AI tool or chatbot, including clear credit to L/L Research and a link to www.llresearch.org so users can access the original material and explore additional resources.
-
Citations must be included. When the tool draws on specific L/L Research material in its responses, it should cite the source—including the session or work title and, where possible, the session-question number or page number—and link back to the original material on www.llresearch.org. This helps ensure that seekers can always find their way to the primary material in its full context.
-
A clear disclaimer must be included. The page associated with the AI tool must note the inherent limitations of AI language models, including the possibility of inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and fabricated or “hallucinated” information. This disclaimer must also state that such a tool is not a substitute for primary study of the material and should only be used as a supplementary resource.
-
No unauthorized translations. The AI tool must not produce or publish translations of L/L Research material into other languages. We take a great deal of care to translate our work with a dedicated team of volunteer translators, to ensure the complex concepts are translated without distortion. While brief translated excerpts may appear in the course of assisting individual users, systematic translation of transcripts, books, or sessions—whether for display within the tool or for external publication, is not permitted.
-
Revocation and enforcement. L/L Research reserves the right to revoke permission if a tool’s use of the material conflicts with these guidelines or with the mission and values of L/L Research. L/L Research also reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal remedies for unauthorized use of its material, including use undertaken without seeking the required permission.
Provided these conditions are honored, we are happy to work with you in granting permission.
¶Questions?
If you have any questions, please contact us! We’re glad to help clarify any part of this policy and to work with you to ensure that any use of the material aligns with our copyright guidelines.
We also suggest that anyone using our material review our Interpretations and Use Statement which outlines our stance on the way that the material is interpreted and used in public efforts.
¶Lawofone.info
There exists a sole exception to the policy prohibiting publication of entire L/L Research books and transcripts to another website. That is www.lawofone.info. Tobey Wheelock was uniquely granted permission to publish L/L’s material, specifically, the full text of the sessions with Ra, to his website.
Tobey has demonstrated not only a love for, but a total fidelity to this material over the course of many years. Additionally he, of his own initiative, undertook the years-long volunteer project of re-listening to the cassettes and producing the Relistened Version (an actual exact transcript). His was the first to innovate the session-question number nomenclature, making referencing the richly dense Law of One material significantly easier and more efficient. He was also the first to enter the material into a database, making it eminently searchable by keyword.
All of the Law of One/Ra Contact content (any version of Q&As between the Questioner and Ra, and any material written by L/L Research) on Tobey’s website is copyrighted by L/L Research. Anything that doesn’t fit that definition is copyrighted by Tobey Wheelock, including the code of the website itself.
In recognition of Tobey’s outstanding work with this material, L/L Research granted a symbolic copyright to him on the Relistened and Lightly Edited versions, and the book The Ra Contact: Teaching the Law of One. However, permission to use any portion of the material can come only from L/L Research.
¶Thank You
Thank you for honoring our copyright policy. We offer this work freely because we believe it carries the potential for healing and transformation, and should never be withheld due to financial limitation.
We have personally felt the effects of this wavelength of love and light in our own lives, and year after year we witness its profound impact on seekers—many of whom share stories of enduring, uplifting change.
We invite you to make full use of this site and to share it, through excerpts and links, with those you meet along your journey. Always remembering, of course, that service can be offered only where it is requested, and that not everyone will resonate with this material in the same way that you and we do.
¶Interpretations and Use
We also suggest that anyone using our material review our Interpretations and Use Statement which outlines our stance on the way that the material is interpreted and used in public efforts.
