The Homecoming Gathering

September 11-14

At this time, our wait list for the 2025 Homecoming Gathering in Harrodsburg, Kentucky is closed. We do apologize. If you would like to be notified of future gatherings as soon as registration opens, you can subscribe to our Gatherings Newsletter. We still have spots open at our Law of One Contemplative Retreat in Colorado this May, our Prague Law of One Seeker Gathering in the Czech Republic this July, and our Berlin Law of One Gathering in Germany this July.

L/L Research is happy to announce its annual Homecoming Gathering in Kentucky! To make this a more retreat-like experience on par with our other gatherings, to accommodate a larger circle, and to give Homecoming a place to spread its wings, there are several big positive changes, including:

  • Moving the event from Jim’s suburban home to a wonderful, spirit-imbued location in the state
  • Extending the gathering an extra day for a total of 3.5 days
  • Making onsite camping and RV hookups available
  • Utilizing the full experience of Open Space Technology

Welcoming all walks of life, the Homecoming Gathering fosters a compassionate, inclusive space that honors unity in diversity and forges meaningful relationships centered on community and the Law of One. It is a gathering for learning, teaching, and authentic connection among spiritual seekers.

Begins: Thursday, September 11 at 5:00pm sharp ET Ends: Sunday, September 14 with an evening meal

Format

This inspiring gathering celebrates the power of co-creation and leadership through Open Space Technology. The Homecoming Gathering isn’t just about attending—it’s about participating, contributing, and embracing the richness of our collective wisdom.

In the open space format, the agenda is not predetermined (though we will have several pre-planned experiences on the schedule). Attendees are invited to be an active part in designing and shaping the event. Whether through leading a discussion, sharing your journey, teaching a skill, showcasing your work, facilitating a group activity, playing music, etc., each contribution matters.

Making an open space offering is not required, but each person will have the opportunity to bring something to share. We ask only that your presentation pertain in some way to the spiritual journey, self-discovery, service to others, sharing of your gifts, empowering others, and so forth. Within those parameters the possibilities are infinite.

If you should feel so moved (we hope you are!), please come prepared with something you would like to share with the group.

Also please note: We hold this gathering in a cultural environment where even the Law of One readership is divided, sometimes passionately so, on hot-button political and social issues. This event’s container is designed to focus on the eternal principles of spiritual evolution shared by Confederation sources. We ask that all offerings be geared towards understanding, compassion, and healing.

Venue

We are rather thrilled out of our minds to be hosting this event at the wonderful, magical Terrapin Hill Farm. This family-owned, 350-acre retreat space once served as a hub for periodic music festivals (that Trish, Gary, Austin attended many moons ago), but has continued to be a space for spirit-congruent events. Thanks to Brenda and Pete, its kindhearted and spiritually oriented owners, along with the many thousands who have shared their hearts in this place, the land has been imbued with decades of love, community, ceremony, and sacred energy.

The farm boasts four covered spaces for our breakout sessions (three of which are electrified, and all of which were built by hand by the owners, much of the wood sourced from the land itself); an additional indoor, climate-controlled breakout space; a large hill facing a music stage, great for performances and nighttime star-gazing; a running creek; a swimmin’ pond; and miles of trails for walking in the beautiful rolling hills of central Kentucky. It is a place on Earth that generously offers seclusion, privacy, and freedom to come together in a sacred circle, not to mention the freedom to walk the earth barefoot if we so choose.

Oh, and bonfires. Big ol’ bonfires. We may even be blessed with a drum circle led by farm owner Pete!

Cost

The total cost includes event space, production costs, tuition, snacks and beverages, and eleven nutrition-packed super delicious meals: dinner Thursday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner Friday–Sunday; and breakfast Monday morning.

If you would love to attend but would be prohibited by financial limitation, we have scholarships available. Please contact us to ask.

Foodstuffs

We have hired a local, skilled caterer to create farm-to-plate lunches and dinners, and Trish will provide breakfast goods each day. The meals can fully accommodate vegetarian, vegan, pescetarian, nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and gluten-free dietary needs. You will need to indicate your dietary needs when registering through the online store.

Onsite Lodging

Terrapin Hill has two onsite lodging options open to our group:

  • Virtually unlimited tent camping on the property.
  • 10 RV sites with hookups to electricity.

Those interested in staying onsite will be responsible for:

  • Bringing their own tent and camping gear.
  • Bringing their own RV or utilizing an RV rental site (we will provide a link for such rental sites upon registration).

For those staying onsite, there are men’s and women’s shower houses with an abundance of hot water, as well as a Potty Barn with flush toilets, sinks, hot water, and mirrors.

Offsite Lodging

There are a few hotel options in nearby Harrodsburg (a 15-minute drive from the venue), and even more hotel options in Danville (a 30-minute drive from the venue). There are also several AirBnBs in the general area.

Note: For those staying offsite without their own vehicle, we are working on a new rideshare system to facilitate your transportation to and from the gathering. We will follow-up with more information in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please feel free to book your hotel room in Harrodsburg or Danville with the confidence that transportation assistance will be made available. If you are booking an out-of-the way Airbnb, we will try to help but cannot guarantee transportation assistance.

Travel

Terrapin Hill Farm is located at: 7695 Mackville Rd Harrodsburg, KY 40330

The nearest airport is the Blue Grass Airport (LEX) in Lexington, Kentucky, about a one-hour drive to the venue.

To be of assistance to those of you flying in without your own wheels, we will continue our practice of helping with airport transportation from and to LEX for a $40.00 roundtrip fee.

We can offer a shuttle service on Thursday and Monday only.

Arrivals: Last shuttle from the airport will be Thursday at 3:30pm sharp. Departures: We can offer return shuttle to the airport only on Monday morning.

If this does not work, there are:

  • rental car options available at the Blue Grass Airport.
  • ridesharing applications (such as Uber and Lyft) that operate out of the Blue Grass Airport. But at a 50-minute drive to a countryside venue, we cannot guarantee availability. If you are able to secure a ride with one of these services, we estimate that it will cost about $65 or more for a one-way trip.

Accessibility

Though on a 400-acre farm, the Homecoming-specific buildings are within a five-minute walk of each other on a lightly graveled road or walking paths, all of which are relatively flat. However, we will also provide a golf cart for anyone in need of mobility assistance.

Curriculum

TBA, but it will look much like the format we’ve used at our other retreat series, the Coming Home to a New Earth gatherings.

Cancellations

Full refunds will be issued for cancellations up to Wednesday, August 11th. Any cancellations after that date are eligible for a 50% refund if the seat can be filled, which is usually the case. If the seat is not filled, then the cancellation is ineligible for a refund. Any unrefunded amount will go to support the gathering.

The L/L Team (Jim included) hopes to see you there! But wherever your feet may lead you, we wish you every ounce of wellness in your life as we walk side by side in support of the birth of a new Earth.
