Daniel Shields was born in 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa. He completed a Bachelors of Information Science in 2007, an (Honours) BSc Computer Science in 2014, and earned a Masters in Entrepreneurship in 2020.

During his second year at university, he had a spiritual awakening in the form of an out-of-body experience. This unexplainable event led him to start exploring any spiritual material he could find for an explanation, without much success until he discovered The Law of One material. The philosophy and perspective in these books provided the most elegant mental shift that allowed him to not only find understanding of his spiritual awakening but also led to an opening of his heart-chakra.

Daniel subsequently expanded his interests and study to include reiki, astrology, life coaching, transpersonal psychology, hypnosis for past-life regression and healing, as well as meditation. Since then he’s experienced many more mystic experiences (including seeing a UFO hovering over his house before shortly departing at unfathomable speeds), but keeps his primary focus on spiritual evolution and service to others.

While working on his Masters degree, Daniel happened to see that an update was in progress for the L/L Research website and offered his services to help with the much-needed design upgrade. When the global pandemic started in 2020, he began working full-time on designing and building a new website. When not fixing bugs or improving the website, he enjoys the pursuit of making the perfect vegan pizza, spending time in nature, listening to the Grateful Dead, and working on personal projects.
